How to reset Tesla Model 3

If your touchscreen is unresponsive or exhibiting unusual behavior, you can restart it to possibly fix the problem.

 Caution: Restart the touchscreen only when the vehicle is stationary and parked.

 1. Shift into Park.

2. Press and hold both scroll buttons on the steering wheel until the touchscreen turns black.

3. After a few seconds, the Tesla logo will appear. Wait approximately 40 seconds for the touch screen to restart. If the touchscreen is still not working, try resetting the vehicle.

To reset Tesla Model 3 (Power cycling):

•  Place vehicle in park, with all doors shut.

• On the touchscreen, touch Controls --> Safety and Security --> Power Off.

• Wait for at least two minutes:don’t touch brake pedal, don’t open the doors, don’t touch the touchscreen, etc.

After 2 minutes has passed, press the brake pedal or open the door to wake Model 3 vehicle and enjoy!
