In Online Tutorials it will be described how to connect to a VPN server relay of the VPN gate using SoftEther VPN Client.
An easy, convenient and fast VPN connection can be made by using SoftEther VPN Client.

Note that SoftEther VPN Client only runs on Windows. Mac, iPhone / iPad and Android users have to choose another method.

1. Install SoftEther VPN Client with VPN Gateway client add-in (only once in the first time)

Download the special version of SoftEther VPN Client that has the "VPN Gateway Client Plug-in".

Extract the contents of the downloaded ZIP file into a folder. As the previous figure, an installation program and some DLL files are extracted.
Run the installation program, which the file name begins with "vpngate-client-", and proceed with the installation. 
The installation will start the previous one. You have to choose "SoftEther VPN Client" on the "Select software components to install" screen. 
After finishing the installation, a SoftEther VPN Client icon will be created on the desktop.

2. Run the VPN gateway client add-in and connect to the VPN server gate

Double-click the SoftEther VPN Client icon on the desktop.

As the previous figure, the icon "VPN VPN servers Public Gateway" appears in the window. Double click on the icon.
If some notifications are shown, I would continue as the screen describes.
The "VPN Experiment Academic Door Plugin Project for SoftEther VPN Client" begins.
On this screen you can see the list of currently running Gate VPN VPN Public Servers. This list on the screen is the same as the list on the first page. Choose one from the list to connect and click on the "Connect to VPN server" button.
If the selected Gateway VPN server is compatible with the TCP and UDP protocols, the above screen will appear. Choose TCP or UDP on the screen. 
If a VPN connection can be established successfully, the above message will appear. This window will disappear automatically in 5 seconds. If you could not connect to the specific VPN server, try another.

3. Enjoy the Internet through VPN relay

While a VPN connection is established, a virtual network adapter in Windows will be created and the adapter will be assigned an IP address that begins with "10.211." Block. The default gateway address will be designated in the virtual network adapter. You can confirm these network settings by executing the "all ipconfig /" command at the Windows command prompt.
While VPN is established, all communications to the Internet will be retransmitted through the VPN server. You can verify that by using "tracert 8.8.8.8" command at the Windows command prompt.
As the previous figure, if the route package are through "10.211.1.7", its communication is now transmitted through one of the VPN VPN Public door servers.
You can also visit the following link to see your current global IP address. You can see in your home country or region that you have changed to another if you are connecting to a VPN server that is in the overseas country.
