SEO tip for Blogspot: add a (meta) description for your blog
In short, the meta description tells Google (and the Google user) briefly what a particular page is about. In this case, what your blog is generally about. How can you add and change the description?
- open your blog's dashboard
- click on the triangle for more options and choose Settings in the drop-down menu
- then choose Basic in the submenu
- At the top of the screen you will find Description
- click Edit
In the box you can now enter a short description for your blog. In principle, it means that you tell what your blog is about in plain, intelligible Dutch. What is important for your blog. It is highly recommended to process at least a few focus keywords . You have a maximum of 500 characters at your disposal. The first 160 characters of this are especially important. After all, that part becomes/is visible as a description of the search result in the search engines.
While you're in the settings of your blog, check whether your Blogspot blog is set up in such a way that it can be indexed effectively by the search engines. To that end, the question should be May search engines find your blog? in the Privacy submenu, of course, are answered with Yes .
